Cisco Catalyst Center is a network management platform for campus and branch networks. From one console it manages Cisco switching and wireless environments, including Software-Defined Access (SD-Access). Administrators use it to deploy and configure devices, run compliance checks, manage software images and monitor the health of the network, clients and applications. It includes the Cisco AI Assistant and offers more than a thousand northbound REST APIs, with integrations such as ServiceNow, Cisco ISE and Splunk. It is delivered as a physical appliance on Cisco UCS servers or as a virtual appliance on VMware ESXi, Ubuntu KVM, AWS or Microsoft Azure.
Cisco is headquartered in San Jose, California, in the United States. Because Catalyst Center runs in your own environment, you decide where the management data is stored. Cisco describes the product as built for organisations that need local control and data residency. Its AI analytics engine runs both on-premises and in the Cisco cloud. The product is not open source.
