Developers deploy applications with a git push in languages including Node.js, Java, Python, PHP, Go, Rust, Ruby, Scala and .NET Core, or through Docker; the platform handles monitoring, updates, restarts and scaling. The company also offers managed databases (including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB and Redis), object storage, managed services such as Keycloak, a Kubernetes service and an environment with GitLab and Terraform. CI/CD integration is possible through an API, the Clever Tools command line and a Terraform provider.

Clever Cloud is based in Nantes and states that it operates its own data centres in France. The company lists ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and HDS (health data hosting) certifications. A SecNumCloud zone is available on request through the partner Cloud Temple. Besides the public cloud, on-premise and air-gapped deployments are offered. The platform itself is not offered as open source; the company says it is built on open standards and proven open source components.
