Coalesce is a data transformation, catalogue and data quality platform with which data teams build, automate and govern transformations. Work can be done in the web interface, in code, or with AI agents via MCP. The platform runs on top of Google BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric (Amazon Redshift is in private preview) and offers lineage, impact analysis, documentation and in-pipeline testing, among other things. Coalesce is delivered as SaaS, complemented by Coalesce Desktop for local development.
Coalesce Automation, Inc. is a US company with an address in San Francisco and falls under US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act. According to its data processing addendum, processing takes place in Google Cloud Platform data centres, and Coalesce may transfer data outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, with standard contractual clauses applying. Coalesce is proprietary and not open source. For a European organisation, this means transformation logic and metadata fall under a non-European provider, while the data itself can remain in its own data platform.
