COGNAiO is an agentic process automation platform from the DTI Group. It reads documents, e-mails, images and other data sources, validates the content against business rules and passes results on to existing systems through standard APIs. Behaviour is configured in natural language rather than code, with human approval where a decision needs it. COGNAiO is offered in the vendor's cloud, in the customer's own cloud or data centre, as a hybrid set-up and through the Azure Marketplace.
The DTI Group states its headquarters is in Wil, Switzerland, with further offices in Cologne and Verona; no foreign parent company is stated. According to the vendor, COGNAiO runs on Azure infrastructure within Europe, on request dedicated in Switzerland or Germany, without transfer to third countries. Microsoft is a US company and subject to the US CLOUD Act, even for hosting in Europe, so check which safeguards apply. The on-premise option of Enterprise Extract lets organisations keep documents in their own environment. Switzerland is an EFTA country with an EU adequacy decision.
