It makes automated backups of Gmail, Calendar, Contacts, Drive and Shared Drives, as well as Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint Online and Teams, with administrator search and restore. Kaseya offers the service to service providers (MSPs) and organisations. According to the vendor, security measures include encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and global data centres. The service is delivered as SaaS.

Kaseya is a US group headquartered in Miami, Florida. A 2019 Backupify document listed storage regions in Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia; current regions should be confirmed with Kaseya. On its product page Kaseya claims certification with GDPR alongside HIPAA and SOC 2 Type II. Because the provider is American, US laws such as the CLOUD Act can also apply to backups held in a European region.
