Doctolib is a French platform for healthcare appointments and practice software. Patients use it to search for doctors, dentists, nurses and other practitioners, book appointments online, including video consultations, and upload documents before a visit. Healthcare professionals and facilities use paid software for the practice agenda, secure messaging, medical records, teleconsultation, dictation and billing. The booking service is available in France, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands. It is delivered as a web and mobile service.
Doctolib was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Levallois-Perret, France. Its shareholders include Bpifrance, Eurazeo, Accel, Kernel and General Atlantic. For hosting, an analysis of Doctolib's data processing terms from 2026 states that the agreement names AWS and S3NS, whose services run on GCP infrastructure. Earlier public information referred to hosting providers certified for health data in France. A European organisation should therefore check which entities operate the hosting, where the data sits and which access controls apply. The service is proprietary and not open source.
