Forsk's Atoll is software for designing and optimising wireless networks, aimed at mobile operators, equipment vendors, regulators and organisations with private networks. It supports radio access networks from 2G to 5G, including massive MIMO and mmWave, predictions refined with measurements and network data, automatic frequency and cell planning, indoor and outdoor modelling, and microwave and backhaul planning. Atoll is installed on your own systems, from a single workstation to a server-based set-up across the organisation. Forsk also offers training and the cloud-native Naos platform.
Forsk describes itself as an independent software company with offices and support centres in France, the United States and China. In July 2025 the French investment company IDI took a majority stake alongside the founders, so there is no foreign parent company. The software is not open source. Because Atoll is installed on your own systems, you keep planning and network data under your own control. For European operators this is relevant, since such data reveals the structure of their network.
