Galileo is a platform for observability and evaluation of generative AI applications and agents. It provides ready-made evaluations for areas such as RAG, agents, safety and security, custom evaluators, an analysis of failure patterns in agent behaviour, and guardrails in which evaluation scores control which actions or tools an agent may use in production. According to the vendor it can be deployed as SaaS, in the customer's own virtual private cloud or on-premises.
The vendor is Galileo Technologies, Inc., a US company reported by the press to be based in San Francisco. Cisco, also American, announced the acquisition on 9 April 2026 and reported on 22 May 2026 that it had been completed. The privacy policy states that personal data is transferred to Galileo's facilities and servers in the United States and does not mention the GDPR; Galileo publishes no data processing agreement. Choosing the VPC or on-premises option keeps data within your own environment, but you still depend on a US vendor, which is subject to the CLOUD Act.
