gDI Stack is a modular, containerised platform for spatial data infrastructures. It is meant for organisations, especially in the public sector, that want to run standards-based spatial services. The platform combines open-source components with in-house tools for security and access control, administration and monitoring. Supported map servers include GeoServer, MapServer, ldproxy, QGIS Server and the deegree framework. It supports common OGC standards such as WMS, WFS, WMTS and WCS and is the continuation of deegree.pro. The vendor offers maintenance under EVB-IT contracts as well as individual support.
gDI Stack is made by grit GmbH, with offices in Werne and Olpe, Germany. No owner in another country was found. The platform runs locally, in data centres or in cloud environments of your choice, so you decide where the data sits; the vendor does not mention a hosted service of its own. Because the software runs in your own infrastructure, control stays with you, including keys and access. The licence of the individual components is not stated on the pages reviewed; ask the vendor.
