GeoRivière is a software suite for monitoring and managing rivers and aquatic environments. It consists of GeoRivière-Admin, a back office with a mapping tool for staff carrying out the French GEMAPI competence (local water management), and GeoRivière-public, a public interface for awareness-raising and citizen participation. The admin application manages watercourses, stations, studies, interventions and administrative files, among other things, and imports data from Hub'Eau and Sandre.
GeoRivière is built on Geotrek-admin and Mapentity and, according to its GitHub page, is maintained by the Parc naturel régional du Haut-Jura and the company Makina Corpus, both in France. The code is freely available under a BSD licence; the latest release (1.5.0) dates from April 2025. The software can be installed on your own servers, including through a Docker image, so data stays under the organisation's control. GeoRivière is a registered trademark, and a brand policy governs use of the name.
