Hajk is an open web-GIS solution for developing and publishing maps and geodata. It consists of a map client built on React, Material UI and OpenLayers, an admin interface for editing the configuration, and a Node.js backend with a REST API. Municipalities and other organisations use it to present maps with functions such as search, measuring, printing and bookmarks. You install it yourself, the backend also runs in Docker, and the project is listed in Sweden's public-sector software catalogue, offentligkod.se.

Hajk is developed and maintained by Swedish municipalities and organisations that govern it together; no company or foundation is named as owner. The licence is MIT. Because you run the software on your own servers, the map configuration and user data stay with you. The backend can use Active Directory to restrict access. No hosted service from the developers is needed to use Hajk.
