Molotov is a French streaming application that brings live television channels, catch-up programmes and on-demand content to connected TVs, computers, smartphones and tablets. It is delivered as a consumer SaaS service through apps for smart TV platforms and web browsers. Paid subscriptions add cloud recording, more simultaneous screens and HD. The service gives private viewers access across several EU countries.
Molotov SAS is a French company with its registered office in Paris. Since December 2021 it has been controlled by the US streaming group Fubo, in which The Walt Disney Company has held a majority since October 2025. The legal notice names a Paris server host and Amazon Web Services for cloud hosting, and the privacy policy allows transfers to US recipients under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. For a European organisation, the main point is therefore US group control and the possibility of US transfers, rather than the location of the operator.
