MTG ERS (Enterprise Resource Security) is a cryptographic platform from MTG AG that combines a public key infrastructure (certificate authority), certificate lifecycle management (CLM) and a key management system (KMS). Organisations use it to issue, automate and monitor certificates and to manage cryptographic keys centrally. It supports protocols such as SCEP, ACME, EST and CMP, and can be combined with an existing Microsoft PKI and with third-party hardware security modules. It is delivered as an on-premises solution or appliance, or as a managed service.
MTG AG is headquartered in Darmstadt, Germany. According to the vendor, the managed variant, DARZ Managed PKI & CLM powered by MTG, runs in two certified German data centres of the partner DARZ, in Darmstadt and Frankfurt. With the on-premises version, organisations manage keys and certificates in their own environment. The software is proprietary, and the company says its components are prepared for post-quantum algorithms.
