Nasuni is a file data platform for enterprises. It replaces traditional file servers and NAS systems with a single global namespace on top of cloud object storage, with local edge caches at each site for fast access. Nasuni also offers ransomware protection, immutable file history, data migration and data intelligence. The platform supports cloud, on-premises and hybrid deployments, and the file data sits in the object storage the customer selects.
Nasuni is a US company headquartered in Boston with offices including Cork and London. The company lists private equity and other investors. According to the vendor, data stays in the customer's chosen cloud tenancy and region, on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud or private object storage, and the customer controls the encryption keys. The service can therefore run in an EU region, but the company itself is subject to US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act.
