NLZIET is a Dutch streaming service for watching Dutch television live and on demand. It started in 2014 as a joint platform of the public broadcaster (NPO), RTL Nederland and Talpa TV. The offering covers live TV channels, catch-up viewing (most programmes for at least a week, many for up to a year), restart and replay of live broadcasts, with programmes from NPO, RTL and KIJK among others. Subscriptions differ in the number of simultaneous streams. Viewers use apps for phones, tablets, smart TVs, Apple TV, Android TV and Google TV, cast with Chromecast or Fire TV Stick, or use the website. The service can be used throughout the EU, with a few exceptions.
NLZIET is a Dutch service shared by public and commercial broadcasters. Its public FAQ does not name the company that operates it or say where data is hosted; for processing details it refers to its privacy statement. No open-source version exists. For a European organisation, NLZIET is a consumer service, and the relevant points are account data and viewing behaviour.
