OpenUEM is an open-source, self-hosted Unified Endpoint Manager. Agents on endpoints report an organisation's IT assets to a web console. The agents run on Windows, Linux (Debian and Red Hat families) and macOS. Features include inventory, remote assistance over VNC or RDP, file transfer over SFTP, application management through Winget, Flatpak and Homebrew, and visibility of Windows updates and antivirus status. The server runs on Windows 10 Home, Debian/Ubuntu, Red Hat-derived distributions or in Docker. It is an alternative to Microsoft Intune or Configuration Manager for organisations that want to run endpoint management themselves.
OpenUEM is written in Go and released under the Apache 2.0 licence. The project is maintained by an individual developer; the open-uem GitHub organisation lists Spain as its location. There is no vendor cloud: management data stays on your own servers, so you decide the location and jurisdiction.
