Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) is a data integration platform from Oracle for moving and transforming data between databases, applications and data warehouses. It is installed software, with the ODI Studio client and a repository, that you run on your own servers. Through the Oracle Cloud Marketplace you can also launch ODI on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, in a Classic edition or a BYOL (bring your own licence) edition.
Oracle Corporation is headquartered in Austin, Texas, and is therefore subject to US jurisdiction. When ODI runs on your own infrastructure, Oracle does not host the data you integrate, and control over the data flows stays with your organisation. When it is deployed through the Marketplace, the data location depends on the OCI region you choose, and Oracle also operates European regions such as Frankfurt and Amsterdam. The software is proprietary and licensed, so it is not open source.
