Proximus is a Belgian telecommunications operator headquartered in Brussels. For companies it provides fixed and mobile services, internet and cloud telephony under the name Call Connect. The cloud service manages business calls on a landline, can be combined with Microsoft Teams and CRM tools, and comes in one tier for small firms and another for organisations from ten employees. It is delivered from the cloud rather than from on-site equipment.
The Belgian State holds a majority of the shares according to the Proximus shareholder page, so there is no foreign majority owner. The Call Connect product page states that data is stored on EU-based servers, that every call is end-to-end encrypted and that the service is GDPR-compliant; it does not name the data centres. For a European organisation the Belgian ownership and EU data storage are relevant points, but exact locations and sub-processors should still be fixed in the contract.
