PSTgateways is a family of application-level gateways from the Spanish company Autek for exchanging information between two security domains. Each gateway consists of two 19-inch appliances with the required software installed, one per domain, linked through a passive exchange device; the TCP/IP protocol stack is fully broken. Available services include file transfer (PSTfile), email (PSTmail), UDP payloads (PSTudp), custom REST or SOAP flows (PSTws) and military flows such as PSTmip. Management is done from the high-security domain with the PSTadm software, and PSTaud records transfers.
Autek is based in Madrid and has been wholly owned by the Spanish group GMV since September 2024, so there is no non-European parent company. The product runs on premises, with no cloud service or data storage at the vendor. According to GMV, the gateways are listed in the secure data exchange gateways category of the Spanish CPSTIC catalogue. For European public bodies and critical sectors that need to connect separated networks, the exchange therefore stays under European jurisdiction.
