RapidAPI Hub is a marketplace and hub where developers find, test and share APIs and where providers publish their own. The platform was built by Rapid; in November 2024 Nokia acquired Rapid's technology and R&D unit, including the API hub, and plans to combine it with its Network as Code platform so that telecom operators can expose their networks through APIs. The terms still refer to the service as Rapid, and the home page is now simply titled API Hub. It is a cloud service used in the browser and through APIs.
Nokia is a Finnish group headquartered in Espoo, but according to the terms of service this service is provided by Nokia of America Corporation, a US entity trading as Rapid, and Rapid itself was based in San Francisco. The service therefore falls under US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act. The vendor does not state where data is stored or which data-processing terms apply, so a European organisation should check those points and the contracting entity before use. The platform is proprietary.
