Rossum is a Prague-based company that provides AI document processing for transactional workflows, such as invoices. Its cloud platform captures documents, validates and enriches the extracted data, triggers approvals and supplier communication, and reports on results. It integrates with ERP and procurement systems including SAP, Coupa, NetSuite, Workday and Microsoft Dynamics. The platform is cloud-native, and the vendor does not offer it for on-premises installation.
Coupa, a US procurement company, acquired Rossum in May 2026. Coupa is in turn owned by the US private equity firm Thoma Bravo. Rossum is based in Prague. Customer data is stored on Amazon Web Services, and customers can choose a European region (primary site in Frankfurt, backup in Ireland), a US region or a region in Japan. Rossum states that it is committed to GDPR compliance. For a European organisation, primary storage can stay in the EU, but the US parent company is subject to US law, including the CLOUD Act.
