Salesforce Net Zero Cloud is a sustainability product that lets organisations manage ESG data, track and forecast carbon emissions across scopes 1, 2 and 3, and automate sustainability reporting. It is aimed at organisations at any stage of their sustainability work, from a first carbon footprint to reporting to investors. According to Salesforce, it supports disclosure against global reporting frameworks, Salesforce is a GRI-accredited Software and Tools Partner, and the Agentforce AI features help draft ESG reports and flag anomalies. The product is part of the connected Salesforce platform, which includes Data 360, Slack and Tableau.
Salesforce is headquartered in San Francisco in the United States, so the vendor falls under US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act. Salesforce states that it offers hosting infrastructure in Europe through Hyperforce. The software is not open source. For a European organisation this means EU-based hosting may be available, but the contracting company remains American. Check which Hyperforce region and which support arrangements apply to your environment.
