samarbeid is an open-source collaboration platform for small and medium-sized organisations. It combines task and process management, task-based team communication, and data and knowledge management with dossiers, custom data fields, files, boards, full-text search and an HTTP API. It is aimed at teams with little IT expertise that want to set up their own processes, for example in the social sector or research groups. samarbeid is delivered as a web application that you run on your own server.
The project originated in the Nucleus Jena research project at Friedrich Schiller University Jena and, according to the project site, is now developed by a core team in Leipzig, Germany, as a community project with no company or investors behind it. The source code is under the MIT licence. Besides self-hosting, the project points to a hosting partner in Leipzig, run by members of the development team, which hosts instances on servers in Finland or Germany and offers a data processing agreement. When you host it yourself, your data stays on your own infrastructure.
