THOT is an archive management system from SICEM for public archives, such as departmental and municipal ones, and for the private archives of companies and associations. Archivists use it for entries, inventory checks, disposals, communications, descriptions, indexing, finding aids and regulatory statistics, following standards such as ISAD(G) and the XML formats EAD and EAC. Further modules serve depositing services, reading rooms and web publication. SAE M@rine adds electronic archiving, and a link to the SAE VITAM back office is possible. THOT is a Java application with a web front end and REST interfaces. SICEM also publishes SEQUOIA for correspondence management.
SICEM is a French company (SARL) in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France; its site names no foreign parent. The vendor states that some projects, such as publishing data online, are hosted in France; it does not say where other deployments run, so ask SICEM about hosting, operation and support. Export in standard XML formats helps keep archival data portable.
