M6+ is the French streaming and video-on-demand platform of Groupe M6. It was launched on 14 May 2024 to replace 6play. It offers live streams of the free channels M6, W9, 6ter and Gulli, pay channels such as Paris Première and Téva, free ad-supported FAST channels, catch-up TV and podcasts from RTL, RTL2 and Fun Radio. The service is available through the website and apps, on smart TVs and streaming devices, and through telecom operators' set-top boxes. Outside France only part of the replayable content is available.
Groupe M6 is based in Neuilly-sur-Seine. RTL Group is its largest shareholder, and Bertelsmann holds the majority of RTL Group, so the ultimate parent is in Germany, within the EU. M6+ is a hosted service with no open-source version or self-hosting option. For a European organisation this means the operator and the owners fall under French, German and European law, and the sources name no non-European parent company.
