SX-MailCrypt is an e-mail encryption gateway from XNETSOLUTIONS, intended to protect an organisation's e-mail communication from being read by third parties. The gateway is delivered as a hardware or software appliance, with support for VMware and Hyper-V, and according to the vendor it works independently of the mail server and operating system, with no software on servers or workstations. Functions include encryption with established standards, Secure Webmail for recipients without a certificate, automatic learning of certificates from the data flow, signing of outgoing e-mail and a rule set for business processes. It is managed through a web interface or LDAP.

XNETSOLUTIONS is headquartered in Herrenberg, Germany, and has existed since 2003; the pages consulted name no parent company. Because the appliance runs at the customer's site, e-mail and keys stay within the organisation's own infrastructure. According to the vendor, its products contain no known backdoors and no functions that contact the manufacturer. The company is listed in TeleTrusT's 'IT Security made in Germany' and 'IT Security made in EU' registers.
