Axiom is an enterprise performance management platform for planning, budgeting, modelling, profitability measurement and reporting. It is offered in versions for healthcare providers, higher-education institutions, financial institutions and general industries. The product comes from Syntellis Performance Solutions, which has since been combined with Strata Decision Technology; the former Syntellis website now redirects to Strata.
Strata is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, and is part of Roper Technologies, a publicly traded US holding company. Roper bought Syntellis in 2023 from its previous owners, Thoma Bravo and Madison Dearborn Partners. Both the vendor and its parent are therefore subject to US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act, which is relevant for European organisations that keep financial planning data in the platform. The vendor's public pages do not state where customer data is hosted or whether an EU hosting option exists, so ask for the hosting location and the list of subprocessors in writing before contracting. Axiom is proprietary software and not open source.
