SystmOne is the core clinical record system of TPP (The Phoenix Partnership), used across the NHS in general practice, hospital, urgent care, mental health and social care settings. TPP describes it as a software as a service model and states that the patient records it holds are stored securely in its databases and made available across the NHS.
TPP was founded in 1997 and is based in Horsforth, near Leeds, England. Its registered entity is The Phoenix Partnership Ltd. TPP states that it has no shareholders and is therefore not controlled by profit. As a UK company, TPP is outside the EU and EEA. TPP's pages cite ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials certifications, but do not say where SystmOne data is hosted, which cloud provider is used or whether any EU data location is available. A European organisation considering SystmOne, for example for cross-border care, should confirm hosting locations and transfer terms directly. No open-source or self-hosted option is described.
