Talend, now offered as Qlik Talend, is a platform for data integration, data quality and governance. It supports batch, real-time, ETL, ELT and API-based integration, offers transformation from visual low-code tooling to full code, and includes data quality, lineage and governance tools such as data products. According to Qlik, it can be deployed in the cloud, on premises or in hybrid environments, and the portfolio includes Talend Studio, Talend Data Fabric and Qlik Talend Cloud.
Talend became part of Qlik in 2023. Qlik is headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and, like Talend before it, is backed by the private equity firm Thoma Bravo. The owner is therefore a US group, so US law, including the CLOUD Act, can apply to data processed in Talend's cloud services. Qlik refers to a separate cloud regions page for hosting locations rather than listing them on the product page. The open-source Talend Open Studio was retired on 31 January 2024 and is no longer hosted or updated, so the product is now available only commercially.
