Telekom Slovenije is the national telecommunications operator of Slovenia, headquartered in Ljubljana. It provides fixed and mobile communications and internet services. Its business segment offers system integration and cloud services. The service is delivered as a network service: customers take out subscriptions and do not install software. The company is a joint-stock company under Slovenian law, designated d.d.
The Republic of Slovenia holds a majority of Telekom Slovenije d.d., with 62.54% of the shares according to an RTV SLO report from June 2023; Kapitalska družba and SDH held a further 5.59% and 4.25%. The company is therefore majority-owned by a European state and is subject to EU telecommunications and data protection law. Where customer data is stored is not clearly stated, so a European organisation should clarify storage locations and sub-processors in its contract.
