Traefik Hub is the commercial API management layer from Traefik Labs, built on the open-source reverse proxy Traefik Proxy. It is aimed at DevOps and platform teams that manage APIs as code through GitOps. The product offers an API gateway with a built-in WAF, API management with plans, rate limits and subscriptions, a developer portal with interactive testing and key generation, and an AI gateway with guardrails plus an MCP gateway. Traefik Hub runs Kubernetes-native with Helm charts, CRDs and the Gateway API; an air-gapped option is also mentioned.

Traefik Labs SAS is based in Lyon, France. For customers domiciled in Europe it contracts under French law; for customers elsewhere the US entity Traefik Labs Inc. in San Francisco contracts. Hub itself is not open source; only Traefik Proxy is MIT-licensed. Because the software runs in your own clusters, you decide where traffic and data reside. According to the licence terms, the software does contact Traefik Labs systems to verify authorization.
