Calligra Suite is an office and graphic art suite from KDE. It includes Words (a word processor with desktop-publishing features), Sheets (spreadsheets), Stage (presentations) and Karbon (vector drawing). Kexi, a tool for building database applications, and Plan, for project management, have followed their own release schedules since Calligra 4.0 in August 2024. That release ported the suite to Qt 6 and introduced a new interface. Calligra runs mainly on Linux and is also available for FreeBSD, macOS and Windows. It is desktop software that you install yourself; there is no hosted service.
All components are free software under the GPL and LGPL. Calligra is developed by the KDE community; KDE is legally represented by KDE e.V., a German non-profit organisation. No commercial parent company is named. Because files stay local and the source code is open, European organisations can use the software entirely under their own control.
