Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) is Cloudera's platform for data management, analytics and AI on data wherever it resides. According to Cloudera, the same services, APIs and user interface give a consistent experience across data centres and clouds, with shared governance for security, lineage and auditing (SDX). The platform covers an open data lakehouse on Apache Iceberg, data engineering, an operational database, a data warehouse, streaming and data flow, and AI components, among others. You can deploy CDP on premises, in public clouds and at the edge.
Cloudera is headquartered in Santa Clara, California (US) and has been privately owned since October 2021, following its acquisition by the investment firms KKR and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice. As a US company, Cloudera is subject to US law such as the CLOUD Act. Where your data resides depends on your choice: your own data centre or a public cloud. For a managed service, check data residency and the contractual terms on supplier access.
