Dialogflow CX is Google Cloud's platform for building conversational agents such as chatbots, voice bots and interactive voice response systems for apps, devices and contact centres. Agents analyse text or audio and respond with text or synthetic speech. Conversations are controlled through flows, and Google is adding generative playbooks in a consolidated Conversational Agents console. It is delivered as a managed cloud service with an API.
Dialogflow CX is operated by Google, a US company, so it is subject to US jurisdiction including the CLOUD Act. Customers choose an agent location at creation: European regions include Belgium, London, Frankfurt, the Netherlands and Zurich, alongside US regions and a global option whose data at rest is stored in the United States. According to Google, data at rest stays within the chosen region and the location cannot be changed later. A European organisation should select an EU region and review the terms for generative features.
