Makya is a SaaS platform from the French company Iktos that lets chemists use generative AI to design new molecules for drug discovery. Users import project data, set a target product profile and let the platform generate molecules that take into account 3D modelling, SAR models, ADMET properties and synthetic accessibility. External models and scoring functions can be connected through an API. Iktos also offers Spaya, a retrosynthesis tool, and its own laboratory platform with robotics.
Iktos SA is based in Paris and names no owner outside France. Where Makya customer data is hosted is not stated on the product page; the website itself runs at a US hosting provider. For Spaya, the vendor says it is available on AWS or in the customer's own VPC. Because the work involves confidential research and intellectual property, it is sensible to have the hosting location, sub-processors and data-transfer arrangements confirmed in writing before use.
