Lyceum is a European GPU cloud for running open-source AI models. Its offering covers serverless inference of open models through one OpenAI-compatible API, dedicated endpoints with reserved GPU capacity for a specific model, and GPU compute as virtual machines or dedicated clusters for customers' own containers and models. It is delivered as a cloud platform with an API and is aimed at startups, research institutions and enterprises, among others.
Lyceum Technology Germany GmbH is based in Berlin, and its imprint also lists Lyceum Switzerland GmbH in Zurich. According to the vendor, the serverless models run in Paris and Finland, and Lyceum states that it does not store prompts or outputs and does not train on customer data. A data processing agreement and technical and organisational measures are available for security reviews. Press coverage says the company is building its own GPU sites with regional partners, including in Denmark and France. The sources consulted name no foreign parent company. The service itself is not open source, although it runs open models.
