Netop Remote Control is remote-access and support software that lets IT staff connect to and manage computers across an organisation. According to a January 2026 announcement by the law firm that advised on the transaction, Netop develops high-security remote-access software for critical infrastructure, defence and public-sector clients. According to the same announcement, Netop is headquartered in Munich and became a standalone company again after a carve-out from Ativion, formerly Impero Software. Older company profiles list Denmark as the base, so the current legal entity should be confirmed in the commercial register. The announcement names Investcorp Technology Partners, the private equity arm of Investcorp, as the buyer; Investcorp's group address is in Manama, Bahrain. A European organisation should check the owner's jurisdiction, where session and support data is processed, and the data processing terms, as neither a hosting location nor a GDPR commitment could be confirmed.
