It stores connections in shared documents and supports protocols such as RDP, SSH, Telnet, VNC, web, VMware, Hyper-V, S/FTP and SCP, with multi-user document sharing for teams. Royal Server is a Windows companion that acts as a secure gateway and lets Royal TS clients perform management tasks such as viewing Windows events or restarting services. Royal Passwords is a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox. The products are delivered as client applications plus an optional server component.

Royal Apps GmbH is based in Vienna, Austria, and the software is not open source. The clients and Royal Server run on systems the customer operates, so connections go from your own devices to your own target systems, optionally through a gateway you manage.
