ISL Online is a remote desktop and remote support platform; its main client is ISL Light. Support staff can help customers in attended sessions or use a remote access agent for unattended access, and administrators manage users and groups. Deployment is either self-hosted, with a server licence in the customer's own environment, or a Managed Private Cloud, described as a single-tenant system. According to ISL Online, data between operator and client is end-to-end encrypted with AES 256-bit.
The software is provided by ISL Remote d.o.o., a company organised under Slovenian law with its address in Ljubljana. In 2025 ISL Online was acquired by PDQ, whose headquarters are in Utah, USA, so a US parent now owns the vendor, which is a relevant CLOUD Act signal. The pages consulted do not state the countries where the cloud servers are located. With a self-hosted server licence, the organisation decides where the data resides.
