It also runs a developer site and a programme for fintech partners. The services are delivered as a combination of hardware, software and services through country-specific operations in, among others, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Switzerland.

Nets is headquartered in Ballerup, Denmark. Since the combination of Nexi, Nets and Sia in January 2022 it has been part of Nexi Group. The parent, Nexi S.p.A., is based in Milan, Italy, and is listed on Borsa Italiana. Ultimate control therefore sits in Italy, a different EU member state from Denmark, rather than with a party outside Europe. Nets is not open source: the service is operated by the vendor itself and the sources describe no self-hosted variant. A European organisation therefore depends on Nets and its parent group for continuity and for the processing of payment data.
