OpenTestFactory is an open initiative that provides a single standard mechanism for planning automated tests, executing them and publishing their results. It consists of a specification and a reference implementation, the orchestrator, which runs on its own or inside a CI/CD pipeline. Providers exist for tools such as Cucumber, Cypress, JUnit, Playwright, Postman, Robot Framework and SoapUI, and a quality gate can evaluate test results.

OpenTestFactory is maintained by Henix, a French company with an office in Paris that also publishes the Squash test management tool. The code is released under the Apache-2.0 licence and the orchestrator runs on your own infrastructure, so test data and results stay with you. No hosted service from the maintainer is needed to use the software. The most recent release listed on the project site dates from May 2026.
