PAY. (formerly Pay.nl) is a Dutch payment provider for online and in-store payments on a single platform. Webshops and shops can accept methods such as iDEAL/Wero, Bancontact, credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, buy-now-pay-later services, bank-based methods and gift cards. For physical locations PAY. supplies terminals that connect to cash-register systems, mobile and unattended terminals and SoftPOS. Integration is possible through an API, an SDK on GitHub and plug-ins for webshop platforms. The platform itself is a service hosted by the vendor.
PAY. operates from offices in Enschede, Diemen and Spijkenisse. According to the company, its infrastructure runs in four data centres in the Netherlands, operated with several vendors, and all payment processing takes place within Europe. The sources name no parent company, so no foreign owner can be identified. Only the SDKs and plug-ins are public; the service itself is not open source. For a European organisation this means Dutch establishment and processing within Europe. It is still worth checking the third-party payment methods you enable, as they carry their own terms.
