PiNUS21 is Swiss accounting software that runs in the browser, aimed at Swiss SMEs, associations and agriculture. You book digital receipts directly, work with e-banking and cost centres, use business-management extensions such as an asset inventory, and give your trustee access to the books. The same vendor also offers PiNUS classic, a module-based accounting program available since 2001, and a payroll program. PiNUS21 needs no installation.
PiNUS is made by Pinus AG, headquartered in Wiesendangen, Switzerland. The vendor states that PiNUS21 stores data on Swiss servers in a Swiss data centre and that the trustee portal also runs on a server in Switzerland. The hosted PiNUSweb version is operated by a Swiss IT provider, with data stored exclusively in Switzerland. The privacy policy refers to the Swiss data protection act and, where applicable, the GDPR. Nothing is published about who owns the company. Switzerland is not in the EU but is an EFTA country with an EU adequacy decision.
