Redocly provides tools for API documentation and API governance. Redoc, an open-source renderer, turns OpenAPI descriptions into reference documentation, while the open-source Redocly CLI supports working with API definitions. The commercial platform adds a developer hub, an internal API catalogue, collaboration features and API monitoring on top of these tools.
Redocly Inc. states in its privacy notice that it is headquartered in Austin, Texas, with team members in the United States, Ukraine and Europe. The notice says personal data may be transferred to the United States or other countries where the company operates, relies on EU standard contractual clauses, and refers to a data processing agreement. It names no hosting regions or sub-processors. A European organisation should therefore confirm in the contract where its API documentation and account data are stored; Redoc and the Redocly CLI can be used independently of the hosted platform.
