Users pay with the Satispay app, which is linked to their bank account; merchants accept payments through Satispay Business and have their takings paid out to their bank account. In the app, consumers can also use additional services such as cards, investing, a savings money box and instalment payments. The service is delivered as an app and is aimed at Italy, France and Luxembourg.

Satispay is originally an Italian company headquartered in Milan. Its payment services are provided by Satispay Europe S.A., an electronic money institution registered in Luxembourg and supervised by the CSSF; investment services run through Satispay Invest S.A., also in Luxembourg. The sources consulted name no non-European parent company. They do not say where data is stored, so a European organisation should ask the provider. Satispay is a commercial service and is not open source.
