Scaphandre is an open-source metrology agent for energy consumption. It measures the electrical power use of servers and attributes it to processes, virtual machines and containers, so that you can see where the consumption of your services comes from. The agent runs on bare metal, on QEMU/KVM hosts (passing measurements through to the virtual machine) and on Kubernetes through a Helm chart. Metrics can be sent to Prometheus, the Prometheus Push Gateway, Riemann, Warp10 or a JSON file. Packages exist for RHEL, Debian and Windows, among others. The README itself describes the project as being at an early stage. It can serve as an open alternative to the energy metering in hardware or cloud vendors' consoles.
Scaphandre is licensed under the Apache License 2.0 and maintained by Hubblo, a French SAS. No vendor cloud is needed: you run the agent yourself and the measurements stay in your own monitoring stack.
