Stytch is an identity platform for authentication and authorisation, built for software teams that develop applications for people and AI agents. Its features include single sign-on with SAML and OIDC, multi-factor authentication, role-based access control, SCIM provisioning, machine-to-machine authentication, an embeddable admin portal, bot and fraud protection, and authentication for AI agents and MCP servers. It is delivered through APIs, headless SDKs and pre-built frontend components that developers combine as needed.
Stytch announced in October 2025 that it was joining Twilio, a US communications company, and said the Stytch platform would continue under its own name. Its website lists offices in San Francisco and New York. The website does not state where customer data is hosted, whether EU data centres are available, or whether a data processing agreement is offered. European organisations should confirm these points in writing, as the US parent adds to the US legal exposure.
