Syncovery is a file synchronisation and backup program. It copies and mirrors data between local drives, network shares, mobile devices and remote servers over FTP, SFTP, rsync or WebDAV, and it supports cloud targets such as Google Drive, Box, Amazon S3, Azure, OneDrive and Backblaze B2. The customer runs the software itself; the public pages do not describe the service as vendor-hosted.
The publisher, Super Flexible Software GmbH & Co. KG, is registered in Münster, Germany, according to the legal notice on its website. Its general partner, TGTools GmbH, is also based in Münster. Because the program runs on the customer's systems and the public pages describe no vendor-owned cloud storage, data location depends on the chosen target. An EU target keeps the copies within European legal reach; a cloud target outside Europe brings the jurisdiction of that provider into play.
