Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware, usually called Tiki, is an open-source, wiki-based content management system and online office suite written mainly in PHP. It can serve as a website, portal or intranet and combines wiki pages, trackers for structured data entry, file galleries, articles, blogs and collaboration tools with a detailed permissions system. The project describes Tiki as a no-code/low-code web application framework. You install Tiki yourself on a web server with PHP and MySQL or MariaDB, and long-term support versions are published.
The software is released under the LGPL-2.1 licence and developed by a volunteer community, with a not-for-profit association as its legal steward. Because Tiki is distributed as source code and runs on your own infrastructure, your organisation decides where the data is stored, who administers it and which jurisdiction applies. There is no vendor-operated cloud service that every user must use, although third-party providers offer managed Tiki hosting. For European organisations this allows in-house or EU-hosted deployments with full control over the data.
