It maps requirements from standards such as ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 and, combined with a use-case-specific Qualification Package, forms a Qualification Kit (QKit) that generates standard-compliant documentation. Its Qualification Support Engine handles test selection, test plans, execution, evaluation and reporting, with a command-line interface for CI/CD pipelines. According to the vendor, it also covers EN 50716, DO-178C/DO-330, IEC 62443 and IEC 21434.

Validas AG has its registered seat in Munich, Germany, and its imprint names no parent company. The vendor's pages do not state whether COSAFE is delivered as installed software or as a hosted service, nor where data is processed.
